In Norse cosmology, the battlefield was never truly over when the fighting stopped. That’s when they arrived.
The Valkyries, Choosers of the Slain — descended from Asgard on winged horses when the last warrior fell, moving through smoke and blood to identify the ones who had died with enough honor to sit in Odin’s hall. Not every warrior made the cut. The choosing was deliberate. The standard was absolute.
How did you carry yourself when it cost everything to stay standing?
Side one captures the Valkyrie herself — full battle armor, horned war helmet, massive feathered wings spread wide against a storm sky, sword in her right hand, shield at her left. A crescent moon rises behind her. The battlefield churns below — armies of spear-bearers locked in the chaos she stands above, untouched by it, surveying it with the calm of something that has seen every war there ever was. Celtic knotwork runs the full border. The composition has the depth and texture of a museum bronze. No text. The image needs none.
Side two takes you to the moment of choosing. Two Valkyries ride hard across a Northern sky — aurora borealis burning green and Brass behind them, full moon riding above, weapons raised.
